Open role
Network Engineer, Integrations
Give every operator one accurate picture of their network.
Operators run hybrid networks: fixed wireless from several vendors, fiber, routers and switches, all watched by different tools. Bavardio brings that into one picture so a NOC can see what is down, why, and who is affected, and so customer service knows before the phones ring. You will own the data underneath that picture. You will build the connectors to monitoring systems and equipment, keep the network map honest, and make outage and uptime reporting something an operator can stand behind.
The work
What you will own.
- Connectors to network monitoring systems and equipment vendors, polling and streaming, built to be gentle on the operator's own systems.
- The network map: which sites feed which, where the internet edges are, which customers sit behind each piece of equipment.
- Outage detection and attribution: what failed, why, and whether power, weather or maintenance was the cause.
- Uptime, capacity and site availability reporting that a NOC lead can hand to their leadership with confidence.
- Working with operators' network teams to get data right, and turning their fixes into the product.
About you
What we are looking for.
- You have run or supported a production network: an ISP, WISP, carrier, campus or data center.
- You know SNMP, monitoring systems, routing and wireless backhaul well enough to tell a real outage from a monitoring artifact.
- You write solid code, ideally Python and SQL, and you are comfortable owning a service in production.
- You are precise about what the data does and does not show.
- Available for at least 4 hours per day overlapping US working hours.
Useful, not required
- Experience with fixed wireless (Cambium, Ubiquiti, Tarana) or fiber access (Calix and similar).
- You have built network topology or outage correlation tools before.
- NOC on-call experience, and opinions about what makes an alert worth waking up for.
Why Bavardio
What working here is like.
Leadership within reach
You will work directly with the leadership team. Decisions take hours and nobody convenes a committee. What you build can be in production the same week.
Customer access
You will meet the operators using Bavardio at conferences, on-site visits, and weekly product calls. They will tell you plainly what works and what does not.
Remote, with a few trips a year
Work from wherever you work best. A few times a year we get together for in-person sprints and customer visits.
Health and time off
Medical, dental, and vision. Flexible PTO, and the cultural expectation that you actually take it.
Apply
Tell us what you have built.
Skip the cover letter. Tell us the substance: the most painful version of this problem you have personally shipped, and what you learned from it. We read every application and respond within five business days. If your background does not match every bullet above, apply anyway. We hire on the strength of what you have built.
Bavardio is an equal opportunity employer. We hire on the strength of your work and the way you think. Background, identity, and where you live do not factor in.
